Magnifying Visors

I have a small 21 mm 20x magnifying glass will it make fire?

I have a small 21 mm20x magnifying glass and I want to know if it is sufficient enough to smoke tobacco out of a pipe with. I tried it on leaves and some paper but it didn't cause a fire.

1. It should be fine to ignite paper. Just hold it so the sun shining through the glass makes a pinpoint of light on the paper. Hold it steady for a while and you will soon see the smoke start to rise from the paper. As far as lighting a pipe, it may work, but I don't know if you will be able to it by your self, as you would not be able see to hold the glass in the right position.
