Magnifying Visors

How do you burn paper with a magnifying glass?

I'm not sure how to position the magnifying glass so that the sunlight burns a hole onto the paper! Trying this as a science experiment! (:

1. 1. First you need an oxy-acetylene torch. 2. heat up the magnifying glass till it glows red. 3 toss onto paper. 4. Blow as necessary 5. Repeat.
2. out it so the sun is shining really strong on the magnifying glass so you can see and little light on the magnifying glass. keep moving the magnifying glass around untill the light gets the smallest it will go and then keep it there and if the suns strong it will eventually burn
3. position the magnifier so that the sunlight is focused to a point
4. Try to hold it so the spot of light on the paper is very narrow or as narrow as you can get it.
5. Just focus sun's light on paper.
